What to Sell on eBay in November: Charity Guide

If your charity sells online, knowing which items are in demand can help you make the most of your donations. To help you plan your eBay listings for November, we've rounded up the 10 best-selling categories on eBay UK, ranked by the number of items sold in November 2025.
Here's what to sell on eBay in November: LEGO, winter sports gear, gift sets, leather boots, dehumidifiers, jumpers and cardigans, Nintendo Switch games, wool coats, cashmere jumpers and chess sets. Demand for each one climbs in November, by roughly 40% to 160%. LEGO sells the most units, but its biggest spike comes in December, so November is the month to set it aside.
This November sourcing guide combines eBay's own UK search and sales data from October 2024 to September 2025, published in eBay Advertising's 2026 UK Marketing Trends Calendar, with Listing Monster's analysis of Terapeak sold data. Every lift figure below compares a category's demand in its peak month with that category's average across the year, and the Terapeak data shows what stock actually sells for online.

Why November is the biggest month for charity shops selling online
November decides how much your shop raises online before Christmas. Black Friday falls on 27 November in 2026 and Cyber Monday on 30 November. PwC forecast £6.4bn of UK Black Friday spending in 2025, with technology, fashion and stocking fillers the top planned categories. For charities, it's also a chance to offer a second-hand alternative where every sale funds your cause. Your listings need to be live while those buyers are searching, not after.
The rule is simple: hold back stock a month before the spike, not during it. If a category peaks in November, have it listed online by the start of November. If it peaks in December, November is when you set it aside from donations.
Many gifting categories build through November and peak in December. Our Terapeak data on LEGO shows it clearly: weekly sales climb from early November and peak in the first half of December. Brief your sorting volunteers early and your best donations go online while demand builds, instead of selling for less on the rails or sitting in the back room when the peak arrives.

1. LEGO: hold back in November for the December peak (+250%)
What to look for: Themed LEGO sets, complete and retired boxed sets, and job lots of loose bricks.
Average selling price: £25 to £30 (Terapeak, eBay UK)
Donations to hold back: Boxed sets, sets with minifigures and instructions, and bags of loose bricks that can be weighed and listed as job lots.
LEGO is the one category in this guide where November is mainly about holding stock back. Demand for themed LEGO sets peaks in December (+250%), one of the biggest lifts on the whole calendar, and complete and retired sets rise from November (+64%, November to December). Anything donated now has time to be checked, photographed and listed before the December spike.

Terapeak, eBay UK: LEGO weekly sales, October 2024 to October 2026.
Sorting tip: A set doesn't have to be complete to sell. Job lots of loose LEGO sell well too. But complete sets, with their minifigures and instructions, are the better gift, so they're the ones to hold back for the December peak online. Retired sets usually sell for more than current retail sets.
2. Winter sports gear: +150% (October to December)
What to look for: Ski and snowboard jackets and trousers, thermal base layers, goggles and gloves.
Average selling price: £17 to £20 (Terapeak, eBay UK)
Donations to hold back: Branded ski jackets and salopettes, children's ski wear and unused thermals.
Demand starts building in October and runs until Christmas, as buyers book trips and kit out for the season. It has the longest selling window in this guide, so it's one of the safest categories to put online. With 129,331 sellers in the category, sharp photos and full size details will help your listings stand out.

Terapeak, eBay UK: winter sports gear weekly sales, October 2024 to October 2026.
Sorting tip: Children's ski wear is outgrown before it wears out, so it often turns up in good condition. Check that membranes, zips and taped seams are intact.
3. Gift sets: +160% (November)
What to look for: Sealed beauty, grooming and fragrance gift sets in their original packaging.
Average selling price: £16 to £19 (Terapeak, eBay UK)
Donations to hold back: Sealed, in-date sets, especially unwanted gifts donated after last Christmas.
Gift sets peak in November, a month ahead of fragrance gift sets (+200% in December). Boxed, sealed sets are quick to photograph and list, which makes them a good fit for volunteers with limited listing time in the run-up to Christmas. Get them live early, because sales drop sharply once posting deadlines pass.

Terapeak, eBay UK: gift set weekly sales, October 2024 to October 2026.
Sorting tip: Sealed and in date is non-negotiable. Check eBay's rules on selling used cosmetics before you list anything that has been opened.
4. Leather boots: +60% (November)
What to look for: Leather ankle, Chelsea and knee-high boots in men's and women's sizes.
Average selling price: £37 to £43 (Terapeak, eBay UK)
Donations to hold back: Leather boots with good soles and heels, especially recognisable brands.
Weekly sales more than double from late August, hold at around 18,000 to 20,000 a week through autumn and peak in mid-November. At around £40, boots are one of the higher-value categories in this guide, so a few good pairs held back from the shop floor can raise more online than on the rails.

Terapeak, eBay UK: leather boot weekly sales, October 2024 to October 2026.
Sorting tip: Check the soles, heels and creasing across the toe before you list. Genuine leather uppers and boots that can be resoled hold their value best, and a clear size label saves buyer questions.
5. Dehumidifiers: +103% (October to November)
What to look for: Working portable and desiccant dehumidifiers with their water tanks.
Average selling price: £37 to £43 (Terapeak, eBay UK)
Donations to hold back: Working units with their water tanks, which often arrive in house clearance donations.
Demand climbs as autumn damp sets in and peaks in mid-November. Sales stay strong into the new year, so stock that doesn't sell by December isn't stuck. Average postage is £6.98, the highest in this guide, so factor it into your listing price, or sell bulky units in store.

Terapeak, eBay UK: dehumidifier weekly sales, October 2024 to October 2026.
Sorting tip: Make sure the water tank is present and the unit switches on and extracts. Bulk and weight affect postage, so price the shipping in before you list.
6. Jumpers and cardigans: +87% (November)
What to look for: Wool and lambswool jumpers and cardigans from recognisable brands.
Average selling price: £15 to £18 (Terapeak, eBay UK)
Donations to hold back: Branded wool and lambswool knitwear in good condition.
Knitwear sells strongly from September and tops out in November, so this month is about keeping your online stock topped up rather than starting from scratch. Most shops receive knitwear in volume, so list the best branded and natural-fibre pieces online and keep the rest on the rails.

Terapeak, eBay UK: jumper and cardigan weekly sales, October 2024 to October 2026.
Sorting tip: Check the fibre label. Natural fibres such as wool, lambswool and cashmere sell for more. Before you list, look for moth holes, pilling and shrinkage.
7. Nintendo Switch games: +40% (November to December)
What to look for: Boxed Nintendo Switch games, especially family and multiplayer titles.
Average selling price: £27 to £32 (Terapeak, eBay UK)
Donations to hold back: Boxed games with the cartridge inside, plus game bundles that can be listed together.
Weekly sales climb from early November and peak at around 7,000 in early December, roughly double a normal week. Games are small and light, so average postage is just £2.93, the lowest in this guide. That makes them easy to store and quick for volunteers to post in your busiest weeks.

Terapeak, eBay UK: Nintendo Switch game weekly sales, October 2024 to October 2026.
Sorting tip: Check the cartridge is in the case and matches the cover, and that the case artwork is intact. Boxed games in their original case sell better than loose cartridges.
8. Wool coats: +100% (November)
What to look for: Wool and wool-blend overcoats, peacoats and duffle coats.
Average selling price: £47 to £55 (Terapeak, eBay UK)
Donations to hold back: Wool and wool-blend coats with a fibre label, especially vintage and branded pieces.
Weekly sales climb from late August and peak at around 4,300 in mid-November, roughly five times the summer level. At around £50, wool coats are the highest-value category in this guide. Postage averages £6.15 and only 25% of sales offer free postage, so build the shipping cost into your price, or keep heavier coats for the shop floor.

Terapeak, eBay UK: wool coat weekly sales, October 2024 to October 2026.
Sorting tip: Check the fibre label for the wool percentage, as higher wool content sells for more. Look for moth damage, worn cuffs and collars, and missing buttons before you list.
9. Cashmere jumpers: +85% (November)
What to look for: 100% cashmere jumpers and cardigans in men's and women's sizes.
Average selling price: £30 to £35 (Terapeak, eBay UK)
Donations to hold back: Anything labelled 100% cashmere. It's easy to miss in a mixed bag of knitwear.
Weekly sales build steadily from late August and reach around 3,500 in late November and early December, roughly four times the summer level. Cashmere sells for about double the average jumper, so it's worth checking every label on donated knitwear before it goes on the rails.

Terapeak, eBay UK: cashmere jumper weekly sales, October 2024 to October 2026.
Sorting tip: Check the label says 100% cashmere. Look for moth holes, pilling under the arms and felting from hot washes before you list.
10. Chess sets: +92% (October to December)
What to look for: Wooden, weighted and designer chess sets and boards.
Average selling price: £27 to £32 (Terapeak, eBay UK)
Donations to hold back: Complete wooden or weighted sets, often found in house clearance donations.
Demand runs from October to December and peaks in early December, when chess sets are bought as gifts. It's a smaller category, with around 21,776 sellers, so a well-photographed donated set faces less competition than in the bigger categories above.

Terapeak, eBay UK: chess set weekly sales, October 2024 to October 2026.
Sorting tip: Count the pieces: a complete set has 32. Weighted pieces and solid wooden boards in good condition sell for more than lightweight or incomplete sets.
How to plan your November donations and listings
- List everything that peaks in November online by 1 November. That covers leather boots, gift sets, wool coats, and jumpers and cardigans.
- Hold back early for categories that build in November and peak in December. Winter sports gear, chess sets, Nintendo Switch games and LEGO all have selling windows of eight weeks or more, so donations you set aside early in November are listed before demand peaks.
- Hold LEGO back now for December. The +250% spike comes after November, so get it checked and listed before December starts.
- Don't hold back more than your volunteers can list. Keep your online pile to roughly two to three weeks of listing and send the rest to the shop floor, so stock isn't sitting unsold in the back room during the busiest weeks of the year. Our Reseller Handbook 2026 guide to balancing stock with listing time covers how to stop unlisted stock piling up.
